The Cleveland City Hall will soon be undergoing some cosmetic renovations. Bidding for the nearly $100,000 job will be completed in April according to City Clerk, Dominique Green.
“The project was recently put out to bid, and we are in the process of advertising for the project now. We will take bids in April,” said Green. “Once we get those bids and the board awards those bids, that’s when we’ll know how much it will cost and how long it will take.”
Green said the windows in the facility will be replaced and the exterior will receive a complete paint job.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. on March 18. The bid includes the replacement of 31 double-hung windows and the replacement of four existing steel-frame windows with fixed window units. The bid also includes the repair or replacement of existing wood facia, soffit, frieze, window trim, door trim, and shutters. There is also the repair or replacement of one existing gutter and downspout as well as one complete paint prep. There will also be new exterior building lettering.
The outside “masonry” area of the building will be pressure-washed and receive a fresh coat of paint.
