Ed Coleman receives award
Longtime Clevelander, Ed Coleman recently received an award from the Mississippi Ground Water Association at their annual convention held in Biloxi at the Beau Rivage. The Legacy Award is annually presented to a person in the industry for their leadership, service and for paving the way for future generations in the ground water industry. Coleman’s career began with Layne-Central in 1961. In 2004 he retired as Executive Vice President of Layne and then created his own ground water company, Mid South Water. Coleman sold the company last year.
“It is a great honor,” Coleman said about receiving the award. “I was in the ground water business for 61 years and I enjoyed every minute of it.”
The Mississippi Ground Water Association is composed of ground water well contractors, engineers, geologists, hydrologists, and others who are involved in groundwater development.
