Delta Pointe, LLC

Resale shop recently opened in Boyle

A new multi-purpose business is taking shape in Boyle as Delta Pointe Center, LLC recently opened its resale shop. Located in the former Riley Roo’s Consignment & Gift Shop at 575 Gaines Highway, the center combines resale operations, restaurant equipment sales, and an already-active U-Haul rental service.

Delta Pointe Center is co-owned by Tara Herrin and Bryant Steele, who also operate the long-established Catfish Cabin restaurant. Herrin said the team has been steadily preparing the new venture while juggling the reopening of the restaurant earlier this year.

“We are glad to be open and it took more time than expected, but we’ve just been busy with getting the restaurant back open, catering, and everything else that we have going on,” said Herrin.

Herrin said customers can expect regular updates regarding business hours on online. “We’ll keep both of the Facebook pages updated, and as people follow our page, we’ll keep them informed.”

After an arson fire in 2024, Catfish Cabin reopened in April 2025 with the help of friends and longtime co-workers. The restaurant has operated in the Delta since 2005, carrying forward traditions established in the 1970s.

Steele said Delta Pointe Center focuses on used household goods, restaurant equipment, and small-wares.

“We’re filling the space with used household equipment, used restaurant equipment, smallware—things like plates, dishes, and similar items,” he said.

The store operates alongside the Delta Pointe U-Haul rental service, which is already open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

“Whatever’s on the lot that you see is available through U-Haul,” said Steele. “The store itself recently opened the first of this year.”

Delta Pointe Center maintains two separate Facebook pages: Delta Pointe Wholesales and Delta Pointe LLC U-Haul. Both will list available equipment, sale dates, and business hours.

Steele said the idea for the resale center came together naturally when Catfish Cabin moved into its current location.

“When we moved into this building where Catfish Cabin is, it was going to cost too much to build,” he said. “A restaurant in downtown Boyle was going out of business, and we were able to lease the building. We purchased the restaurant, but not the building, and it came with all the restaurant equipment. So we had our own equipment, plus a restaurant full of equipment.”

That surplus sparked the idea for Delta Pointe Center.

“So we said, yeah, we’ll start a store in our U-Haul place,” said Steele. “If you come in to rent a U-Haul, you can look around and see anything from a few clothes to shoes, to band equipment, to refrigerators, freezers, shelves, tables, chairs, plates, dishes — all kinds of restaurant equipment, fryers, ovens — all sorts of things.”

The owners have also purchased additional equipment from individuals selling items at affordable prices.

“We’re going to continue to  move things in slowly and price them,” said Steele. “We’ll keep buying and selling. We’ve already bought several pieces that people were selling cheap, so we have refinished it, restaged it, and put it back for sale.”

All updates — including sale dates, items available, and photos — will be posted on their Facebook pages.

“That’s where everything will be updated,” said Steele.  “That way, when we say, ‘Hey, we’re going to open Saturday at 8:00 a.m., come see us,’ you’ll already know what’s going to be in the store. It’ll be first come, first served. No holds, just sell.”
