As President of Security Services Inc. in Cleveland, Jason Shaw says protecting homes and businesses across the Delta means being available whenever customers need him.
“That’s just what we do and what we’ve become known for,” Shaw said. “If I’m needed by our customers for any reason, they all have my cell phone number and are free to call me. My phone is never off unless I’m in the shower or at church.”
Security Services Inc. was founded in late 1999 by Jimmy McClellan. From the very beginning, Sonya Hall worked alongside McClellan and has been a central part of the company’s growth and daily operations since its inception.
Shaw joined the company in 2005 after serving in the United States Navy. Kevin Nolette came aboard in 2010 after ten years with the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department.
In January 2024, ownership of the company transitioned from founder Jimmy McClellan to Shaw, Nolette, and Hall, who collectively purchased the business. The transition preserved the company’s long standing leadership structure and ensured continuity for customers and employees alike.
Nolette now serves as Office Manager and Treasurer, while Hall continues in her leadership role as Executive Administrator and partner.
Today, Security Services Inc. designs, installs, and services alarm systems, video surveillance, fire protection systems, access control solutions, intercom systems, and monitored life safety services for both residential and commercial customers. The company is fully licensed and insured and provides customized solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

In addition to traditional security services, the company has expanded into AI driven security and remote deterrent technology, giving customers access to advanced monitoring tools designed to prevent incidents before they escalate.
Shaw believes the company’s structure sets it apart in the marketplace.
“Some smaller providers operate out of their homes, and many large national companies rely on subcontracted crews who are awarded work based on the lowest bid,” said Shaw. “That model can sometimes create delays, inconsistent workmanship, and difficulty reaching the right person when service is needed.
